- 显示并导入系统相册中的视频;
- 选择图片作为视频封面;
- 播放本地网络中可用的媒体流;

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at MichaelSilvesterCN+PrimePlayer@gmail.com.
1. Overview
PrimePlayer is designed and handles data as follows:
- Does not require account registration or sign-in;
- Does not use developer-operated cloud servers;
- Does not include advertising, user tracking, or behavioral analytics;
- Does not use advertising identifiers;
- Does not upload your videos, photos, playback history, or folder information to developer-operated servers;
- Does not sell, rent, or provide your personal information to data brokers.
Your media, playback history, playlists, and settings are primarily stored locally on your device. When you use network playback, downloading, local-network transfer, or Apple in-app purchases, relevant information may be transmitted to a network address you select, another device on the same local network, or an Apple service.
2. Information Processed by the App
2.1 Media and Media Library Information
To provide video importing, playback, organization, downloading, and exporting features, the App may process the following information locally on your device:
- Videos, subtitles, and cover images you import or download;
- File names, file types, file sizes, video durations, and related media metadata;
- Folder names, playlists, favorites, and sorting information;
- Playback progress, playback time, and playback history;
- Remote media URLs that you add.
This information is stored in the App’s sandbox or local database and is not uploaded to developer-operated servers.
2.2 Settings and Preferences
The App stores settings such as language, appearance, playback speed, subtitle style, network download preferences, Picture in Picture preferences, playback history settings, and other feature preferences locally on your device.
2.3 Folder and Playlist Protection
When you enable password protection:
- Passwords are stored in the iOS Keychain;
- Password hints are stored in the App’s local database;
- We cannot remotely view or recover your passwords.
Do not include identity numbers, contact details, or other sensitive personal information in password hints.
When you use Face ID or Touch ID, authentication is performed by iOS. The App receives only the authentication result, such as success, failure, or cancellation. The App does not access, store, or upload your facial or fingerprint data.
2.4 Membership and Purchase Information
PrimePlayer Pro subscriptions, purchases, billing, and purchase restoration are processed by Apple through StoreKit.
The App reads only the product identifier, purchase result, and membership entitlement status required to determine whether Pro features should be unlocked.
We do not have access to your payment card number, payment password, or complete payment credentials. Apple processes this information under the Apple Privacy Policy.
3. System Permissions
3.1 Photo Library Access
The App may request permission to read from or add items to your Photo Library in order to:
- Display and import videos from your Photo Library;
- Select an image to use as a video cover;
- Save screenshots, animated GIFs, or videos to your Photo Library.
The content available to the App depends on whether you grant full access, limited access, or no access in iOS. If an item is stored in iCloud, iOS may download it through Apple’s services.
3.2 Local Network Access
Local Network permission is used to:
- Play media streams available on your local network;
- Transfer files between PrimePlayer and another device on the same Wi-Fi network through a web browser.
Local-network transfer operates only when you actively enable the relevant feature. Files are transferred directly between your device and the device accessing the local transfer page. They do not pass through developer-operated servers.
3.3 Biometric Authentication
Face ID or Touch ID is used only to verify whether you are authorized to access or manage protected folders or playlists.
Biometric information is managed by the iOS Secure Enclave and system authentication services. The App cannot access the underlying facial or fingerprint information.
You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Refusing or withdrawing a permission affects only the features that require that permission.
4. Network Playback, Downloads, and Local Transfers
When you enter a remote media URL or play network media, the App sends requests to the corresponding server at your direction. That server may receive information required for normal network communication, including:
- Your IP address;
- The request time;
- The requested path;
- Protocol and connection information.
These servers are operated by you or third parties. We do not control their privacy or data-handling practices. Review the relevant service’s privacy policy and confirm that the source is trustworthy before connecting.
Some supported media protocols, including HTTP and FTP, may not provide encrypted transmission. Information transferred through an unencrypted protocol may be intercepted by other parties on the network. Use encrypted protocols such as HTTPS or FTPS whenever possible.
Browser-based local transfer uses a local HTTP service. Use this feature only on a trusted Wi-Fi network, keep authentication enabled when possible, do not share the displayed username or password with unauthorized people, and close the transfer page when the transfer is complete.
5. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share your information for advertising, marketing, or data-brokerage purposes.
Information may be transmitted or disclosed only in the following circumstances:
- Apple services: Apple processes purchases, subscriptions, purchase restoration, and App Store services;
- Network services selected by you: Requests are sent to the server you specify when you play or download remote media;
- Local-network recipient devices: Files are transferred to or from the relevant device when you initiate a browser-based import or export;
- Legal requirements: We may comply with applicable laws, legal proceedings, court orders, or lawful requests from authorized public authorities.
The App uses VLCKit for media decoding and certain network playback capabilities. The current integration does not configure advertising or analytics services.
6. Storage and Retention
The App does not provide a developer-operated cloud account or cloud synchronization service. Relevant data is primarily stored in:
- The App’s sandbox;
- A local SwiftData database;
- The iOS Keychain;
- A local App Group container shared between the App and its Share Extension.
Media, playback history, and settings are generally retained until you delete the relevant content, clear the history, or uninstall the App. Cache and temporary files may be removed by the App or the operating system when appropriate.
Keychain items and Apple purchase records are managed according to iOS and Apple policies. To remove as much local data as possible, delete your media, clear playback history, and remove password protection before uninstalling the App.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You can manage information processed by the App by:
- Viewing, editing, or deleting media, folders, playlists, and playback history within the App;
- Exporting media files stored in the App;
- Disabling playback history or other optional features;
- Removing folder or playlist protection;
- Withdrawing Photo Library, Local Network, or biometric permissions in iOS Settings;
- Managing or canceling a PrimePlayer Pro subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings;
- Contacting us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other privacy-related assistance.
The App does not provide an account system, so there is no account deletion process. Because most information is stored locally on your device, we generally cannot remotely access or delete that information.
8. Security
We use measures appropriate to the App’s functionality, including:
- Isolating local files through the iOS application sandbox;
- Storing protection passwords in the iOS Keychain;
- Using iOS system services for biometric authentication;
- Providing optional authentication for local-network transfers;
- Limiting system permissions to purposes related to App functionality.
No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device passcode and local-transfer credentials, and avoid transferring sensitive content over untrusted networks.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not specifically designed for children under the age of 14 and does not intentionally request that children provide names, contact details, or identity information.
If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information to us through the App, contact us at MichaelSilvesterCN+PrimePlayer@gmail.com. We will review and address the request in accordance with applicable law.
10. International Data Processing
We do not operate servers that collect PrimePlayer user data and therefore do not independently transfer your locally stored media or playback history across national borders.
When you access a remote media server located in another country or region, or use services provided by Apple, relevant information may be processed in the locations where those service providers operate. Such processing is governed by the applicable provider’s privacy policy.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to App functionality, applicable law, or platform requirements.
If a change materially affects how information is processed, we will provide notice through an in-app message, release notes, the privacy policy page, or another appropriate method.
The revised policy will include an updated “Last Updated” and “Effective Date.”
