真正让这种用法变得顺手的是全局快捷键。无需先找到 MagicDesk 窗口，就可以暂停或继续播放、切换上一张或下一张壁纸，以及开启或关闭声音。

Beyond live wallpapers, an unexpectedly useful way to watch
Many people first open MagicDesk to give their Mac a moving wallpaper. After using it for a while, however, video may become the content they play most often. Import a favorite film, show, or long-form video into the wallpaper library, and it can play directly in the desktop background.
In this setup, MagicDesk is more than a wallpaper tool. It also feels like a lightweight video player built into the desktop.
No separate player window to manage
A conventional video player always needs its own window. Make it too small and it is hard to see; make it too large and it covers the apps in use. Either way, it adds another window to switch to and arrange.
When video fills the desktop, the desktop itself becomes the viewing area. You can work on a document, browse information, or handle other tasks without reserving space for a player. Glancing at the video does not require rearranging the current workspace.
This works especially well for content that does not demand constant attention. The video can provide background company while foreground space remains available for the task at hand, keeping the workspace cleaner.
Resume when you want to watch, pause when you need to focus
Desktop playback does not mean a video has to run continuously. Pause whenever it is time to concentrate, then resume when there is room to watch again. Playback can be controlled from either the MagicDesk window or the menu bar.
MagicDesk's smart power saving can also pause moving content automatically while an app is in full screen, a game is running, or the Mac is using battery power. Playback resumes after those conditions end, reducing the impact of a video background on the current task and battery life.
Global shortcuts make every switch feel natural
Global shortcuts are what make this workflow especially convenient. Without finding the MagicDesk window first, you can pause or resume playback, move to the previous or next wallpaper, and turn sound on or off.
When video is part of the desktop, these actions feel less like managing another app and more like controlling the surrounding environment. Moving between work and viewing takes a single keystroke, making an otherwise distracting interaction feel effortless.
